The objective of OUT's “Tribes” campaign for their subsidised TEN81 LGBTIQ healthcare centre in Pretoria, was to
create awareness of free and affordable sexual healthcare resources available to an even broader spectrum of the South African LGBTI community.
The campaign was rolled out on social media, in print ads, posters, radio ads and flyers, and included information resources on topics such as the importance of HIV testing and HIV-prevention medication,
such as PEP and PrEP. The campaign included the tagline: “We love who you are! No matter your tribe, TEN81 in Pretoria is your free health clinic for gay, bi and other[s]...”. The TEN81 Centre provided free services to LGBTIQ people and sex workers and was at the time supported by the Gauteng Department of Health. The clinic was the first of its kind to be funded by Government in South Africa.
